20 Photos of Namibian Musicians
Rock Music has grown significantly over the years in Namibia. Big events like Namrock and the various shows at the Warehouse Theatre are evidence of this. No one captures these "rocking moments" better than Namibian Photographer Sue Nieuwoudt. Although born in Paarl, South Africa, she moved to Namibia when she was only 2 years old. It's safe to say she is as Namibian as they get, especially considering she matriculated from WHS (Windhoek High School) in 2004. After high school her love for music and design really took its course when she did a year of music followed by studying Photography and Graphic Design in 2006 at Stellenbosch. Sue's is a rebel child of note, with alternative music and punk rock music being the sounds that really drives her. Her passion lies with the abnormal art of photography and she always trying to capture motion and movement of the artists.
I just love the energy that goes with the whole band scene in Namibia! I am a very big supporter of Namibian artists, music, movement and pretty much everything Namibian. I try and promote bands and everything concerning PROUDLY NAMIBIAN.
She also does other forms of photography, includuing portfolio shoots, event photography, social events, extreme photography, model photography as well as personal photography. Catch her on her Facebook page: Disorganized Chaos Photography
All the images below are shows she took over the last couple of years. Enjoy!
